On many occasions I will stumble across an artist that I’ve never heard before but instantly am enthralled by. This week it was Floating Points, aka musician Sam Shepherd from Manchester, England. I chide myself in not discovering their music sooner, it’s right up my alley.
First I listened to ELAENIA, which was the album Pharoah Sanders was listening to when he decided he wanted to collaborate…
The aforementioned collaboration between Sanders and Floating Points… PROMISES… and features the London Symphony Orchestra… wow!
Then finally I listened to CRUSH which hits all the feelings, so good!
